Today, eight people began the twenty-day trek towards Mount Everest’s Base Camp. This Journey spans over 50 miles and will cover of elevation gain at times. Stadia’s President Greg Nettle, along with 7 incredible individuals who all have a heart for the next generation have been training, planning, and preparing for this trek since 2020. Each trekker has decided to raise funds that will go towards starting new churches that thrive, grow, and multiply for the next generation. Combined, their goal is $500,000!

At Stadia, something you’ll hear us say a lot is that we won’t stop until every child, everywhere, has a church. With over 2.2 billion children on this planet, that statement might sound a little audacious. But honestly, we mean it! We believe that together, we can realize audacious goals and impact future generations. We also believe that God can accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. If you’ve ever wanted to change the world, here’s your opportunity!

We are eager to share updates from the adventure, and to see all that God does with the awareness and funds raised. We trust that He will use us to impact the next generation.

For many of us, our church is somewhat of a basecamp of our own. It provides spaces for us to gather and find the rest, relationships, and renewal that we need as we make our way through this life. For you, it might not be a place where essential food and shelter are found, but for many throughout the world, it often is. Out of the 2.2 billion children in the world there is a massive percentage of them growing up in cities and homes that aren’t connected to the base camp of a local church or even the hope of Jesus. What if this team trekking to Everest’s base camp could provide a church base camp for at least 2,000 children around the world? It’s our shared hope to invest in churches so that the next generation has a church. Thanks for being a part of that!
