Ethnos Church
“Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 1:6)
Ethnos Church gives thanks to God for setting us apart to bring the light of salvation to all people in Milwaukee by making disciples. Since launching the church in 2014, God has continually demonstrated His great faithfulness toward us, as well as His goodness! We praise and thank God for Stadia for believing in and affirming us to plant Ethnos Church, as well as for continued prayers, encouragement and guidance—which have played a key role in our ministry over the past five years.
We focus on striving to build on the four pillars of the Church defined in Acts 2:42: prayer, worship, fellowship, and breaking bread.
Throughout the past five years, Ethnos has hosted more than 20 special events for children, both at Ethnos and within the local neighborhoods. During these events, we witnessed 100 children and 84 adults respond to the Gospel in tangible ways. The school that we met in during those early years was impacted positively by our presence, as testified by the principal and teachers. We offered an International Students’ Ministry in which groups of students gathered weekly around food and conversations in English with American students who demonstrated Christ’s love. Many heard about Christ for the first time, and some openly accepted Him as Lord. Additionally, Jehovah Rapha, our God who heals, is always at work in Ethnos! We have experienced His miraculous healing touch on so many sick people.
In 2016, working with our sponsoring church planting network, we became a sending church in Milwaukee. We trained few planters to plant international churches in Wisconsin. In 2016, a Cuban couple planted a Spanish speaking church in Waukesha. In October 2017, Ethnos started a new service in Arabic on Saturdays, which is currently impacting the Arab population of urban Milwaukee.
We’ve distributed hundreds of Bibles, gifts, and meals to those experiencing socio-economic struggles and challenges. It has truly been a blessing to minister to the holistic needs of people! Ethnos continues to have the privilege of experiencing the power and presence of God, bringing a taste of His Kingdom of Heaven here on earth!
As Ethnos prepares for the future, we are very excited! The LORD has clearly spoken to us about our next steps in relation to His Kingdom agenda. We sense God’s prompting to continue: (1) fulfilling Ethnos’ cross-cultural mission in Milwaukee – “To bring the light of salvation to all people by making disciples;” (2) growing our community by discipling and raising more leaders; (3) reaching out to the Arabic children of the city by developing special childrens’ ministries.
We thank God for our partnership in the ever-growing and widening Stadia family.
Shalom, Salam, Peace,
