April 2022 Update

Hello, brothers and sisters of Monat and Connect Church! We are excited to share with you an update on the ministries and construction of La Atravesada.

We currently have 70 adults and 150 children regularly attending church events. We have also had 10 new declarations of faith in recent months!

We have made a lot of progress with the children. On March 18th we held bible school, the children were happy and motivated, and so were their parents. We have been discipling parents in the community, both those with children in the program and those whose children are not yet in our center. A pre-opening service was held where we all praised God; parents supported us with the choir and they got to know the facilities.

Challenges:

A great challenge is not having electricity yet, but we have generators. The children go to the church with their chairs and their tables to be able to work every day in the temple. Usually, the children motivate their parents to go to the church.

Learning opportunities:

Thanks to God we have managed to carry out the pre-inauguration of the temple. The great challenge was to find ways to do it. People were able to see the work we do for the benefit of the children and some people are happy to be able to receive the Word of God, also several parents attended the ceremony.

The church is almost finished! Our next steps are laying the ceramic flooring and installing electrical and water connections.

La Atravesada is a town that is in great need of faith and finances. Thanks to God and to the donors, we managed to fulfill a great dream. Every day we strive to improve for the benefit of the town and our children, thank you all, and may God bless you for all of your kindness.

Brother Segundo Rodríguez is very grateful for this church. He has been attending the Mother church for 9 years and has been praying that one day his town of La Atravesada would have its own church. He wished for the church to see the needs of the children in the town and help them. Segundo was at the placement of the first stone of the temple, and now that he sees the church established and finished, he thinks that the children of the town are going to have a better future and grow up with a renewed way of thinking and full of faith. He thanks God for the testimony that he is experiencing in his town with a church that gives support to many people who really need it.

Thanks to all the donors, because of their mercy the children can receive their tutoring, the word of God and their baskets.
Thank you for all the support to the Compassion team for their patience with us. When we don't know something, they are there to help us and teach us. Thank you for every training you provide us.

Prayer Requests

Pray that God would touch each parent’s heart to attend services and draw closer to him.
Pray for the spiritual life so that it continues to strengthen us and for us to remain firm in everything that we are working for.

Update Photos

We worked with the Samaritans Purse boxes with biblical teachings for the children, happy to learn new things.

At sundays, parents attend to hear the word of God and thank for all the favors received.

Biblican activities in the church with the tutors, each child brings his chair and tables to be able to perform the tasks, they arrive happy to learn from God.
