Iglesia Del Nazareno Pueblo Nuevo
November 2021 Update
Hello, brothers and sisters of Creekside Christian Church! We are excited to share with you an update on the ministries and construction of La Atravesada.
We have a group of leaders within the church that serves the whole community. It has been quite a challenge to reach people of the community with the gospel, but we persist. We have Sunday school classes, every Sunday we go house to house looking for the kids to return to church. We ask for collaboration with people in the community to be able to deliver food baskets every month for children who are not part of the program. We are home to people who need help, bringing food and clothing.
We are still in the early days of construction. We are currently looking for day laborers, as well as engineers to help at a good price. We are getting quotes on stone materials for construction.
We held a cultural program for the children of the community and their families. We also have had bible month activities with the community. We have held raffles to generate funds for the church as well.
One of the biggest challenges we have encountered thus far has been finding places that can legally sell building materials. We have also been looking for transportation for construction workers so that they do not have to walk. We also need a way to provide construction workers with water.
Despite the challenges we have faced we continue to see God’s grace in every situation. We are proud to provide parents with work at our construction zone as we impact them with the gospel. The whole community has seen what the church can do for people. We have been able to reach the most distant communities in our area to get to know families.
In the next couple of months, we will buy everything we can for construction, speak with parents in the community to help us with the work and begin the construction.
Thank you for all your kindness and mercy towards our children, thank you for mobilizing resources to be delivered in these distant villages that are forgotten the need is greatest. They do not have basic services, many times lacking food and basic needs.
Amber Anzules, a little girl in our church, is 5 years old. Amber was born with a murmur in the heart, and before the start of the pandemic had an open-heart operation. While her operation was successful, when the pandemic began, she was no longer able to access all the tests that the doctors indicated, and her mother reached out to us for help. Last year we were able to get help for a consultation with a pediatric cardiologist to check on her heart. She was able to get the help she needed with doctor’s exams and checkups. Amber’s heart is fine, her mom is very grateful to the church since she and her husband do not have a fixed job so the little they earn must go to food. She is very grateful for the medical checkups, and for the food baskets that we provide every month.

- Pray for the spiritual life so that it continues to strengthen us and for us to remain firm in everything that we are working for.
