June 2022 Update
Greetings, brothers and sisters of Creekside Christian Church! We are excited to share an update on the ministries and construction of Church of Nazareno Gloria de Dios.
We are finishing the construction of 2 classrooms, the kitchen is 80% finished and the windows are placed. We are taking steps to go along with this work until the end of June. The sanitary pipes and the boxes for sewage water are advanced. At the end of the month, we will plaster 2 walls and, on Monday, we will pour the floor of the kitchen and the dining room.
The church continues to strengthen its leadership. The committee has been elected and they’ve designated leaders for each ministry in order also to involve the brothers, not only the pastors. We want to form this leadership team for each ministry of youth and children. Pastors are carrying out their discipleship, making visits, and delivering baskets. Also, there’s been the consolidation of the people who have made vows of faith. So we’ve been focused on helping them grow in their faith, and empowering them as children of God so, in a long term, they would exercise leadership in the church. Finally, we baptized 4 brothers, the first ones of the group that we have raised.
Coming up we will be training for baptisms and consolidation talks. We’ve been training the brothers on Tuesdays and Thursdays in a leadership course. We’ve been aware of the construction, the delivery of the baskets, and the personnel in charge. The pastor helps with the construction and electrical installations alongside the parents.
The organization of the church and generating funds for the construction were only the first part of the process. We have to continue with the backside of the construction: a larger playground for the children. We are hoping to build a swimming pool for them, it is our challenge.
This church began with the help of 5 people, the development and leadership that they have acquired is enormous. They keep learning; now we have around 60 people regularly engaging with our church.
In the coming months, we will pour some flooring, build the walls of the kitchen and dining room, install toilets, and prepare the classrooms for use.
On May 22 we held an evangelist celebration, the day after a baptism. The parents of a boy in our program came, his mother’s name is Janeth Guanoluisa and his father’s name is Carlos Jurado. They accepted God as their savior, they were praying for a job for Carlos because he could not get one. God answered the prayer request of this family. They told us that he found a job right away, and they feel grateful not only for the sponsorship program but also for the prayers. They are very faithful to their children and support the church’s services. On Saturday have shown them as people who’ve changed and now share their lives with God.

- Thank you for all the support to the Compassion team for their patience with us. When we don't know something, they are there to help us and teach us. Thank you for every training you provide us.
Prayer Requests
- Pray that God would touch each parent’s heart to attend services and draw closer to him.
- Pray for the spiritual life so that it continues to strengthen us and for us to remain firm in everything that we are working for.
