Felix Sarmiento

January 2020 Update

Greetings, brothers and sisters of Creekside Christian Church! We are excited to share with you an update in the ministries and construction of Felix Sarmiento Church.

In the last couple of months, we have continued to progress in the beginning stages of construction. Our permits and construction forms have gone through, and we began cleaning the land and flattening the land to prepare it for building.

We have begun serving in our community and offering help to the adults and especially children around us. We currently have 60 adults attending weekly services we hold, and we will have our first baptism next month! We have been able to have neurodevelopmental studies on some of the children in the program, to see where they are at and whether they need extra help in school. We have started a program for those children with developmental delays to help them overcome problems and succeed in school.

One challenge we had in these last 60 days was to complete the entire process of legalization for building on our land. Thank God we are now able to begin construction.

In the next couple of months, we will make progress in our building. Our hope is to pour all the bases of the building and begin laying our foundation.

The church has been a blessing because it has helped us with the feeding of my daughter, she was given her gift at Christmas. I have 3 children and it is difficult for me to give everyone what is necessary but thank God this year has been different. We attend church with the family.
