La Castellana
October 2019 Update
Greetings, brothers and sisters of Creekside Christian Church! We are excited to share with you an update on the ministries and construction of La Castellana.
In the last couple of months, we have made a lot of progress on construction and evangelistic activities! We have had meetings and as a result, 30 people have met Christ and 12 have been baptized! We have hosted 2 discipleship workshops, in which we were able to tell people of the gospel and build relationships with the families in the community. Those that are attending the workshop are encouraging others too, and are focusing on sharing the gospel with others.
We have completed the construction of the bathrooms, they are fully equipped and are accessible for those with special needs. The concrete slab has been poured for our main building, and the lower floor has been closed in.
One challenge we are facing during this time is properly managing local mobilization. We know that God will provide the people we need to complete this project. With this challenge, we have had the opportunity to unite as a community. We are all working together toward a common goal and through that, we are strengthening friendships and community.
We thank God for you and for the support you have given us. We hope that you can come to visit us soon and see the work God is doing in our community. A very big hug from all our church and community!
I am Marjorie Macías, mother of Mathias Alejandro Gualacata Macías, as a family member I can say that the church is quite influencial in the community. I see how other parents come eager to hear more about God, and we are all learning. My son always asks me: “Mommy, is it Sunday already?” He looks forward to the day to attend church because he has friends to play with and his teacher teaches him of God. We have all noticed the preparation and love they have to teach us, and personally I am very happy to be part of this church.
PRAYER REQUESTS
- That we would continue to trust God and his faithfulness toward us.
- That more people would come to Jesus and hear of the gospel.
- That construction would continue, and that we would be able to finish the building to provide a safe place for the children and their families.
- Continue to pray for the pastor and leaders of the church.
