Iglesia Rios de Agua Viva

March 2020 Update

Greetings, brothers and sisters of MONAT! We are excited to share with you an update on the ministries and construction ofIglesia Ríos de Agua Viva!

During the last 60 days, we made more progress in our construction. We have had regular visits by the head engineer to monitor the progress. We have also purchased materials for the construction. We have lifted the walls and covered one classroom and put the ceiling on 8 bathrooms and a kitchen. We also plastered the walls of the office, classrooms, and bathrooms. Finally, we installed water pipes in the bathrooms and kitchen and installed electricity in the office, classrooms, bathrooms, and kitchen.

The Church carried out evangelism and discipleship activities with adolescents and children in the impact area.  Work is currently being carried out on the evangelism strategy “Operation Christmas Child”, whose main objective is that children know about Jesus. These children between 2 and 14 years old received a “box of opportunities” or “evangelistic box” with gifts that meet some of their needs, but with the clear intention on the part of the church to teach the children and adolescents that the best gift they may receive is to have Jesus in their lives. Through this strategy, 65 children and adolescents have been impacted, in the same way, the Ríos de Agua Viva Church continues to evangelize through the family groups strategy and evangelistic visits to the homes of the impact zone.

During the last two months, we faced the challenge of making adjustments in the architectural plans, in order that the construction complies with all safety and legal protocols. Following these adjustments, the construction was stopped for a period of 21 days, which represented a delay in the construction schedule. The Church worked diligently on the adjustments, submitting them before the Municipal Entity. They were received and accepted, so the construction work could continue.

Over the next 60 days, we will continue our work in the construction of our building. We’ll start the construction of the large multipurpose room that we will use for many different services. We will continue with planning the rest of the

I have a feeling of joy and gratitude to the Lord for His faithfulness, which is reflected day after day in our work. God has been good to our community; He has put the desire and willingness of many people to contribute with their donations for the construction for the benefit of the families that are part of the impact zone. The church has grown not only in buildings, but also in people who today, confess Jesus as their Lord and Savior, which is one of the greatest joys we can feel. Seeing how God is working in people’s lives so that they may proceed to repentance is a wonderful thing. I know that the desire of the Lord is that people get to know and love Him, so I firmly believe that the construction of the childhood development center, “Seeds of Peace,” is an excellent tool that God has given us to work on His work in benefit of the most vulnerable and needy families of the kingdom of God. I give Glory to God for everything he is doing in people’s lives, I know He will remain faithful and His work is growing, rescuing children from poverty in the name of Jesus. Our desire is to be able to work for the families of our community so that they are taught in God.
