Church Planters are Heroes: The Isagizas (Luminous City)

Jan 17, 2019

“We are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.” Carlos and Gina Isagiza, planters of Luminous City in San Diego, CA, have taken this verse to heart as they prepare for their February 17 launch.

Carlos and Gina Isagiza grew up in big cities knowing the incredible need for hope in the urban environment. Their lives were changed later in their teen years when they met Jesus through the church in Miami. Soon after that, God began to make some things very clear to the Isagizas; He was calling them to join Him in what He was doing in the world, He was placing a passion in their hearts for a generation who don’t know God, and He was preparing them to start a movement. They have served in full-time ministries for twenty years, from Florida to New Jersey.

Their lives were changed by Jesus and they know that if there is any hope for our world, it is through Jesus. Their dream is to start a movement through their churches that will turn cities into beacons of hope through Jesus.

Beacons of hope. Hope is an illuminating force, isn’t it? It’s the sliver of gold peaking from underneath a door in a darkened room, the comforting glow of a neon ‘open’ sign at a cozy diner late at night. It’s the promise of renewal and unconditional love found through Jesus, and Luminous City Church wants to share it with you.

Luminous City’s mission is to create experiences for the people of their city to fall in love with Jesus and follow Him. Their vision is to start a movement that turns cities into beacons of hope for the world through our community of churches.

Stadia is proud to partner with these visionary church planters, and we cannot wait to see what God will do in and through the Isagizas!
