Yes, this seems like a no-brainer, but it’s necessary! Do you have a budget that shows budget v. actual? Budgeting is good stewardship of the resources God provided. It shows that a plan is in place for how funds received would be spent. Reporting this monthly is key to showing the church if finances are going as planned or if they need to develop a new plan with their board / management team. When properly reviewed by the board / management team it offers a layer of accountability for staff.
